Cheekwood Botanical Gardens Wedding

When I first spoke with Ashleigh about her wedding at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens she mentioned “Wuthering Heights meets Downton Abbey gardens” - I was immediately enamored with the vision.

I think Ashleigh and Davis got their wish for a moody day, because it poured rain almost the whole time. Rainy days for weddings can be tough when expectations of a glowing warm day are lodged in the heart. But for this couple, I think the rain was a gift. It DID hold off long enough for the wedding ceremony and first dance, something we were all grateful for. Ashleigh’s dress was completely soaked and muddied along the bottom by the ceremony, but she completely embraced the earth’s gifts. Davis looked at her like she was the only woman there, completely besotted from the first look to the first dance, completely smitten. Their wedding was an intimate gathering of family and a few friends, and took on the air of a sweet garden party in the fresh Tennessee Spring.
