Intimate Garden Wedding

Joanna and Jonathan had a truly special wedding in Franklin, near Nashville, Tennessee. Their focus was on creating an intimate and romantic atmosphere centered around the presence of their loved ones. The couple chose a simple garden setting that fit them so perfectly - grounded, gentle, tender, and open-hearted.

Set against the backdrop of a charming walled garden, the couple exchanged vows that reflected their deep connection and commitment to each other. Their ceremony was filled with tender moments and shared laughter, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone present.

As a small intimate wedding photographer, I thoroughly enjoy capturing the intimacy and personal connections within smaller celebrations. Joanna and Jonathan's wedding was a perfect example of this. The close-knit group of guests allowed for a deeper sense of connection and a relaxed vibe throughout the day. From the heartfelt speeches to the evening dances, it was evident that this day was intimately woven together by those that love Jo & Jonathan deeply.

As a photographer, I kept my part very simple, too. My gear and my presence was to be a part of the day unfolding. I left the flashes and extra lenses and toys in the car and tried to just be as present as possible with only what I could fit in my hands. Taking this approach felt contemplative and right, especially considering the way that this couple shows up in the world as artists and friends. They have a way of making you feel calm and present, and I think that really shifted the lens I saw through.

I feel deeply privileged to have been a part of Joanna and Jonathan's wedding day. It was an honor to capture the beautiful moments and emotions that defined their intimate garden wedding in Franklin, Tennessee. This celebration truly reflected their love and commitment, and I am grateful to have been their chosen photographer for this special occasion.
